Academy Of Finance & Business
Overview
Howard’s Academy of Finance and Business is a three-year program designed for approximately 75 high school students passionate about pursuing careers and post-secondary education in financial services. Starting in the 10th grade, students split their school day between academic courses and specialized financial and business training.

- Economic and Business
- Principles Accounting
- Entrepreneurship

- Job Readiness Skills (e.g., communication, problem-solving, leadership)
Learning Experience
Students gain practical skills both in the classroom and the workplace, with opportunities for dual enrollment and college credit through articulation agreements.
Certification
- Principles of Banking: Certification offered through the American Institute of Banking.
Employment opportunities available after high school graduation or with a 2-year degree:
Accountant, Telecommunications, Credit Analyst, Securities Professional, Financial Products Representative, Real Estate Administration, Insurance Representative, Customer Service Representative
Earning Potential Range:
$15/hr to $75/hr, depending on role and experience.
