Information Technology & Networking

computer networking

The Information Technology and Networking (ITN) program prepares students for entry-level information technology positions. The program also provides graduates with the opportunity to acquire industry certifications and the ability to transfer into a two or four-year institution. The program is aligned with DTCC's core ITN courses, and students have the benefit of earning a high school diploma and over 30 dual enrollment credits toward an Associates degree in ITN at DTCC. Graduates may choose to continue to specialize in one of three concentrations: Information Security, Networking, or Programming. Youth apprenticeship in the IT field provides a structured, work based learning program that connects the needs of students with the workforce needs of the IT industry. In the ITN program, youth apprentices will complete paid on-the-job learning, earn transferable credit for college-level coursework, and earn stackable credentials like industry recognized certifications (CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA A+) while pursuing their high school diploma.
