Overview

The Web & Print Technology program teaches students how to design websites and printed materials using professional software and coding tools. Students learn how to create graphics, animations, and layouts, as well as how to code websites using HTML, JavaScript, and WordPress. The curriculum also covers internet standards, user interface design, and multimedia elements like animation and sound. Over three years, students build a portfolio of digital and print projects that prepare them for jobs in design or further study in college.

What You’ll Learn

  • Website development using HTML, JavaScript, and WordPress

  • Graphic design and editing with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate, Dreamweaver)

  • Internet theory, web standards, and user interface design

  • Design principles: color theory, typography, page layout, and illustration

  • Creating multimedia content such as animations and interactive components

  • How to prepare digital files for print and web publishing

  • Building a professional portfolio of digital and print projects

Hands-On Experience

Students work on real-world design projects in class, including websites, business cards, brochures, and magazines. They learn to code, design, and publish content using the same tools professionals use. By graduation, each student has a portfolio of projects to show employers or colleges.
