Overview

The Business Technology program teaches students the skills they need to succeed in the business world. Students learn how businesses operate, how to communicate with customers and coworkers, and how to use computers to solve problems and manage information. They also explore topics like starting a business, hiring workers, and making smart decisions. This program prepares students for both college and jobs in many areas of business.

Hands-On Experience

Students build their skills through class projects and real-world activities, including the use of business tools and computer programs. Some students may also take college-level classes through dual enrollment or articulation agreements to earn credit while in high school.

Certification

Students in this program may earn:

  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

  • Microsoft Office Master Certification, awarded for passing all five advanced exams. This credential is nationally recognized and may also count as college credit.
