Computer Network Administration Program (CNAP)

Overview

The Computer Network Administration (CNAP) program prepares students for entry-level jobs in the Information Technology (IT) industry. Students learn how to repair and set up computers, build and manage networks, and solve technology problems. The program also introduces web and video game design. Students gain hands-on experience, can earn IT certifications, and may also earn college credits through dual enrollment.

Hands-On Experience

Students practice on real computers and networks in the classroom and labs. In 12th grade, some students may join a co-op to work part-time in the IT field while finishing school.

Certification

Students in this program may earn:

  • CompTIA A+ (IT Essentials)

  • Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT)

Employment Opportunities

With a senior-year co-op or after graduation, students may work as:

Earning Potential Range

Students in this field can earn between $18 and $61 per hour, depending on the job and level of experience.
