Public and Consumer Services

Our Public and Consumer Services programs prepare students for careers in service-based industries like personal care, hospitality, education, and public safety. These programs include hands-on training and certifications to help students succeed after graduation. Explore our programs below:

Baking and Pastry Arts

Students learn how to bake and decorate desserts using both basic and advanced pastry techniques. The program also teaches teamwork and hospitality skills.

Cosmetology

Students train to cut and style hair, do facials, and perform manicures. They gain hands-on experience in a salon setting and prepare for the Delaware State Board Licensing Exam.

Culinary Arts

Students learn cooking, baking, and food service skills. They gain experience in a professional kitchen and can earn ServSafe, ProStart, and college credits.

Fire Science and Rescue

Students prepare for emergency service careers like firefighting and EMT. They learn safety protocols, risk management, and incident response.

Legal Administrative Assistant

The Teacher Academy for Early Childhood Education

Students learn about child development, safety, and teaching young children. They work in a preschool lab and can earn certifications and college credit.
