Electrical Trades
Overview
The Electrical Trades program offers comprehensive instruction in electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial installations. Students learn to assemble, install, wire, and maintain electrical systems, with additional study opportunities in photovoltaic systems. The program emphasizes practical skills, such as bending and fitting conduit, installing wiring, and testing circuits for proper connections. Maintenance electricians ensure that lighting systems, transformers, generators, and other electrical equipment remain in good working condition. Graduates of the program are prepared for a wide range of employment opportunities in the electrical field, with job growth expected due to the increasing use of electrical and electronic equipment in various industries. Advanced placement in the Trade Apprenticeship Program is available for qualified graduates through Tech Prep.

Employment opportunities requiring two years of specialized training after graduation:
Construction manager, electrical designer
Earning Potential Range:
$16/hr to $47/hr, depending on role and experience.
