Cosmetology Program
Overview
The Cosmetology Program teaches students how to care for hair, skin, and nails. Students learn to wash, cut, color, and style hair. They also practice facials, manicures, and other beauty services.
To do well in this career, students need to be creative, professional, and good with people. Cosmetologists work in salons, spas, hotels, nursing homes, and even on cruise ships.
All three schools—Delcastle, Hodgson, and Howard—have working salons where students get real experience. Students must complete 1,500 hours of training to take the Delaware State Cosmetology License Exam.
