Carpentry Program

Overview

The Carpentry Program prepares students for careers in the construction industry. Carpenters help build and repair homes, buildings, and other places where people live, work, and gather.

Students learn how to:

  • Work with materials like wood, metal, vinyl, and synthetics
  • Measure, cut, and build walls, floors, and roofs
  • Install doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, and trim
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly

This program is great for students who are active, enjoy building things, and like working with their hands. Students who do well may qualify for early placement in a trade apprenticeship after graduation.
