Physical Therapy Medical Assisting

Overview

The Physical Therapy Medical Assisting program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as Physical Therapy Aides and Certified Medical Administrative Assistants in the rehabilitative sector of the healthcare industry. This multi-skilled pathway equips students with marketable skills applicable in a variety of healthcare settings. On the clinical side, Physical Therapy Aides work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists or Assistants to use appropriate equipment, prepare treatment areas, and observe and record patient progress. On the administrative side, Certified Medical Administrative Assistants are essential to the smooth operation of medical offices, handling tasks such as scheduling appointments, insurance verification, and billing.
