Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act

As part of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, states must provide public access to sex offender information through the internet in order to help protect children and communities. In Delaware, Title 11, Sections 4120 and 4121 of the Delaware Code require the Delaware State Police to maintain a public sex offender registry online. This registry is available through the State Bureau of Identification.

With the signing of Senate Bill 66, schools and licensed childcare facilities are no longer required to keep public sex offender notification binders on site. Instead, this requirement has been replaced with the authorized School and Child Care Notification flyer.
