Overview

The Engine Technology Program teaches students how to fix and care for many kinds of engines and equipment. This includes two-cycle and four-cycle engines, chainsaws, motorcycles, snowmobiles, lawn and farm tools, and machines used in construction.

Students get hands-on practice using tools and learning how engines work. The program also teaches safety, customer service, and teamwork. These skills help students get ready for jobs as engine repair workers.

Hands-On Experience

Students work in real lab settings and use tools to fix engines. They also practice talking with customers and solving problems. The program helps students build both technical and job skills to get hired or continue training after high school.

EETC (Equipment & Engine Training Council)
Students can earn certifications in:

  • 2-cycle engines
  • 4-cycle engines
  • Small diesel engines

Earning Potential Range:

Students in this field can earn between $10 and $23 an hour, depending on the job and their experience.
