St. Georges is hosting its College Application Week (CAW) in November.
In the weeks before CAW, students will be encouraged to complete a College Application Week Student Worksheet to help them fill in their college applications. Students also need to know their social security numbers and have their college essays saved on a computer.
During CAW, seniors will get assistance with their college applications. Many seniors will have already started their college applications before this. Our goal is to help each senior apply to one or more post-secondary schools. There will also be fee waivers to UD, Del-State, DCAD, and Wilmington University for all seniors applying to college during this time. Goldey Beacom and Del-Tech do not charge an application fee online.
After applying to college, students are to submit transcripts through parchment.com, send SAT scores through collegeboard.com and start their financial aid application on www.studentaid.gov. For more assistance with FAFSA, please go to www.StandByMeDE.org.
For those who are not planning to attend college, we will also have Adult Education available to discuss apprenticeships and technical training opportunities as well as military representatives to discuss branches of the military!
