Students attending New Castle County Vocational-Technical high schools must take a full range of academic and career program courses to successfully complete the district's minimum 24.5 course credit requirement and meet state requirements for a high school diploma.In addition to a diploma, students who meet the criteria earn career program of study certificates.Students choose a Program of Study in a career field that provides specific vocational/technical training.Course selection is based on the program of study chosen.Cooperative work experience is a part of the program of study during the senior year, which allows senior students to work in business and industry and receive credit.Students work closely with their counselors to develop their programs of study, which require parent/guardian signatures.Select one of the following Career Programs to see a detailed list of available career opportunities.
