NCC Vo-Tech Summer Home Visitors
Contact 1,300 Incoming Freshmen Families |
| |
|
Seventy-three faculty and staff from the four NCC Vo-tech high schools will visit this summer in the homes of 1,300 families whose sons and daughters have registered to attend a vo-tech high school beginning this fall. The Summer Home Visitation program is a hallmark of NCC Vo-Tech School District. Parents receive orientation information on how to stay informed and connected with the school, what to expect during the 9th grade year, and how to help support their child's academic progress. Summer visits give parents and students who are new to the vo-tech school system an opportunity to have their questions answered on a one-to-one basis. "The Summer Home Visitation program establishes from the start that our schools value and encourage parent involvement," said Superintendent Steven Godowsky. "We know that parental support affects student achievement, and to this end, our visitation program promotes a positive transition to high school while setting high expectations for students," he said. |
