Delcastle, Hodgson Among 7 Additional Schools
Chosen to Join Vision 2015 Network |
| |
|
Delcastle and Hodgson join founding schools Howard and St. Georges as the newest participants in the Vision 2015 Network initiative. The initiative is a reform plan launched in 2007 to create world-class public schools in Delaware. The Network now includes 28 schools throughout the state, serving approximately 20,000 students. Delcastle and Hodgson will begin faculty training this coming fall.
"Our school could not be more excited or proud to join the Vision Network," said Annemarie Linden, principal of Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School. "We've heard time and time again from our colleagues within our district that because of the Network, they have been able to improve school culture more than ever and make great strides toward deeply impacting student achievement. What educator wouldn't want that?"

|
Howard and St. Georges, which were among the first schools accepted into the Vision Network, each have a building-based core instructional leadership team of teachers who research and design professional development for colleagues based on student achievement data.
Each school developed a unique focus that drives instruction in the classroom. Student progress is tracked and interventions are adapted to individual student needs.
